Missouri nursing homes continue working to improve the care they provide as more information becomes available to families and elders considering long-term care. Consumers can now use the Nursing Home Compare Web site to see how nursing homes in their communities are performing on 19 publicly reported quality measures. Quality of care counts, and it’s visible for all to see.

As Missouri’s Quality Improvement Organization, Primaris is contracted with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to work with Missouri nursing homes to measurably improve the quality of care they provide.

Primaris knows the daily challenges nursing homes face, such as staff turnover, communication barriers and limited resources. We want to partner with homes as they turn these challenges into opportunities to improve. Over the next two years, Primaris will work with a select group of nursing homes. We will provide special support as these homes work to improve prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers, and work to reduce the use of physical restraints.

Primaris offers a variety of free clinical tools and resources available to download and print. Click on the topics below to read additional information.
