Hospital Quality Improvement
With the Hospital Compare Web site and pay-for-performance on the horizon, there is a heightened awareness and visibility about hospitals among consumers. Maintaining a competitive edge in the healthcare industry equates with providing the best care possible using efficient processes. Enhancing those processes of care can be both complex and costly, but it doesn’t have to be. Primaris, Missouri’s Medicare Quality Improvement Organization can work with you for free to continually improve the services you offer. As Missouri’s Quality Improvement Organization, Primaris is contracted with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to work with Missouri hospitals to measurably improve systems of care and outcomes related to specific clinical areas.
Primaris understands the barriers hospitals face daily. Staffing issues are common, time and resources are limited, and hospitals are working hard to improve quality of care. We want to be your partner in transforming these barriers into opportunities to improve the quality of care at your hospital. Over the next three years, Primaris will work with a select group of Missouri hospitals to reduce pressure ulcers, improve surgical and heart failure care and prevent methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus. Click on the topics below to read additional information on each project and view the free resources. Our clinical staff is knowledgeable in these areas and available to assist you with your quality improvement needs.
