Telehealth

Telehealth is an area of growing interest in the home health arena and can be used to reduce acute care hospitalizations, reduce unscheduled homecare onsite visits and identify early exacerbations in patients' conditions. Telehealth may include telemedicine (i.e., audio consultation, phone messages) or telemonitoring (i.e., audio, video/data consultation). Such systems can provide high-quality, cost-effective care and add new dimensions to the face-to-face care provided by clinicians.
