Immunizations
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services ( CMS ) is initiating a comprehensive effort across all settings of care to improve the immunization rates of Medicare beneficiaries. Primaris will work with home health agencies in Missouri to include an assessment of influenza and pneumococcal immunizations into their comprehensive patient assessment, offer these vaccinations (or refer clients to other sources), and provide follow-up to ensure the vaccinations were received. These efforts are in alignment with the Healthy People 2010 goal of 90% immunization for patients.
