Falls are a significant source of disability and death in older persons, as well as a threat to their psychological and physical well-being. In Missouri, current estimates suggest that 24,120 Medicare beneficiaries residing in a nursing home fall every year. At least 1,200 of these residents will sustain a fracture, including hip fracture, from a fall. Primaris is committed to reducing the incidence of falls and fall-related injuries among Medicare beneficiaries in skilled nursing facilities. Visit our Clinical Education Resources for Nursing Homes. All resources are free to Missouri's healthcare community.
