Behavioral symptom management and the use of antipsychotics in today’s healthcare arena is an important topic to discuss. Antipsychotic drugs are associated with increased CV, falls, dysphagia, and other neurological risks. New Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) measures have been implemented, but Missouri still ranks as one of the highest states using antipsychotics (sixth).
