Helping Missourians with Medicare
Primaris is the nonprofit Medicare Quality Improvement Organization for Missouri. We work closely with doctors, hospitals, home health agencies, nursing homes and other healthcare professionals and organizations to promote the health and safety of older adults. As a Medicare consumer, you have certain rights and protections. Primaris ensures that your Medicare rights are protected and that the care you received was appropriate and meets certain guidelines. There are two ways we can directly help Missourians. These are explaining Medicare and conducting medical record reviews. Both services are free to you.
Medicare Explained: The CLAIM Program
Through a network of over 200 volunteers and partner organizations stretching across the state, the CLAIM program offers free, unbiased Medicare counseling. CLAIM is Missouri's state health insurance assistance program (SHIP). CLAIM is made possible through funding from the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the federal Medicare agency, and is administered through the Missouri Department of Insurance Financial Institutions & Professional Registration.

Medicare Concerns: Primaris Clinical Review Program
As a Medicare beneficiary, Primaris provides a place for you to voice concerns about your health care services. You may feel that your services are ending too soon, or you may be troubled by the quality of medical care you received. Primaris looks into these concerns to help find a solution as part of its contract as Missouri's Medicare Quality Improvement Organization (QIO).
