As Missouri’s QIO, Primaris works with nursing homes across the state on a variety of patient safety projects. Consumers can now use Medicare's Nursing Home Compare Web site to see how nursing homes in their communities are performing on publicly reported quality measures. Quality of care counts, and it’s visible for all to see.
Primaris knows the daily challenges nursing homes face, such as staff turnover, communication barriers and limited resources. We want to partner with homes as they turn these challenges into opportunities to improve.
Primaris works with a select group of nursing homes. We continue to provide special support as these homes work to improve prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers, and work to reduce the use of physical restraints.
